NEW! Board Office Hours

Get more face-to-face time with some of our Board members to ensure a smooth transition to virtual involvement and recruiting. Some of our Spring 2021 Board members will be dedicating their time every week to get to know our new and returning members as well as answer any questions or concerns our members might have throughout the semester. These office hours will begin at the start of the semester.

BAP&AS Virtual Backgrounds

FAQs

How will the BAP pledging process differ from in-person?

The BAP pledging process has always provided new candidates with opportunities to develop their professional skills and networks. Our organization will continue to do our best to make sure that new members will still get the full experience. Although the events and workshops will be virtual, they will still provide invaluable information, and give students opportunities to meet professionals from our network!

How will recruiting be affected?

Our organization is well-known for the amount of members that have received job opportunities and internships through networking. Many firms will still be recruiting this semester so do not be discouraged! Virtual networking and virtual business etiquette is a topic we aim to educate our members on through our workshops & speaking engagements.

How will I virtually meet members as a new member?

We understand the unease that comes with a virtual semester, especially for new CSULB students. That is why we have dedicated Zoom Board office hours and the option to schedule a one-on-one with a board member. Our first two virtual events, Introduction Meeting and Meet & Greet will be catered towards new members with icebreakers and virtual activities to help you meet other members!

Will there still be weekly meetings and workshops?

We will still be hosting our regular events (speaking engagements, workshops, Big Buddy, Little Buddy, and Meet the Firms) in a virtual setting using Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Speaking Engagements will be at our regular time, M/W 5:00pm-6:00pm.

Are there programs to help with professionalism during my virtual transition?

Our mentor program is a great way to ensure a smooth transition this semester. When you sign up with a mentee, our program coordinators will pair you up with an Alumni. Through this program you can expect to have professional support and guidance through your recruiting process!
