In service from Jan-Mar 2017
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is an I.R.S. program that provides free income tax preparation to low-income, students, elderly, non-resident, disabled, and limited English proficient individuals.
Our CSULB VITA site is available to qualifying taxpayers with an income level of $54,000 or less. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing for federal and state tax returns. They can inform taxpayers about special tax credits for which they may qualify such as Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, and Credit for the Elderly or the Disabled. Don’t put off your taxes! CSULB VITA has refunded over $816,000 in taxpayer dollars last tax season.
If you have an interview coming up soon and you would like an opportunity to practice, we will be holding mock interviews throughout the week by appointment only. You will be interviewed by another member of Beta Alpha Psi & Accounting Society.
As an accounting student, you will be undergoing the recruiting process earlier than any other major. It can be daunting, especially if you are new to the process. But don’t worry, we’re here to help you get the most out of the recruiting season!
There’s a world out there outside of Beta Alpha Psi & Accounting Society that you can be apart of. CalCPA, ISFFA, and IIA are organizations for accounting majors and professionals.
